Chocolate Macadamia Cookies with White Chocolate Chunks
Source: Pillsbury Best Cookies Cookbook
1 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 oz. white chocolate cut into1/2-inch chunks or 1 cup white chips
1 (3 1/2 oz.) jar macadamia nut, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 375'F.
In large bowl, combine butter and sugars and beat until fluffy. Add almond extract, vanilla and egg; blend well. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto un-greased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until set. Let cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
Makes about 3 dozen.
