Chocolate Peanut Butter Jewels

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (1-6oz pkg) semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 egg whites
1/4 cup water
1 cup (1-6oz pkg) peanut butter chips
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar



In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.

In a small heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat until smooth.

In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in melted chocolate chips and egg whites. Gradually beat in flour mixture, alternately with water. Stir in peanut butter chips.

Cover and chill for at least 45 minutes or until firm.

Preheat oven to 350º. Spray cookie sheet with non stick vegetable spray.

Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar, coating generously.

Place on prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until sides are set, but centers are still slightly soft. Cool.
