Holiday Almond Crescents

1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1 cup Quaker Oats, uncooked
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 325 degrees.

Beat butter or margarine and almond extract until fluffy; gradually beat in sugar.

Add combined flour and salt; mix well.

Stir in oats and almonds.

Shape to form crescent.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown.

Sift powdered sugar over warm crescents.

Makes about 4 dozen
