Formed Cookies Snickerdoodles by Eureka

Snickerdoodles

2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. sugar
3/4 C. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla


Preheat oven to 375° F.

In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar and oil.

Beat flour mixture into sugar mixture until well blended.

Beat in eggs one at a time; add vanilla.

Mix until blended.

Choose one of options below and bake at 375 for 10-12 min.

1. Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls.

Roll into cinnamon sugar.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 3-inches apart and smash flat with bottom of a
glass or cookie stamp.

2. Refrigerate dough for about 1 hr.

Roll dough out 1/4-inch thick.

Cut with floured cookie cutters.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake. Frost when cool.
