Peanut Butter Cookies for Cookie Press
1-1/4 cup sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup peanut butter
1 Tbsp. hot water
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Sift dry ingredients together.
Cream shortening, gradually with sugars and beat until fluffy. Add the egg, then peanut butter and the hot water. Add the sifted ingredients to the cream mixture. Fill the Cookie Press and form the cookies, on a ungreased cookie pan. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 15 min. Yields: 60 cookies
