Spritz Cookies
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter and powdered sugar well. Blend in egg and flavoring. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix well. Press dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet, using various plates to make desired shapes.
Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
Spritz Cookies
1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. warm milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream the butter thoroughly; then add sugar gradually. Mix in egg yolks. Then add flour and milk, salt and flavoring. Put through cookie press and bake in 350 degrees oven until light brown, about 8 minutes.
Spritz Cookies
1 c. butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Knead with hands to mix all ingredients. Use cookie press to form cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
Peanut Butter Spritz Cookies
6 Tbsp. shortening
6 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. peanut butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 c. sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix ingredients together. Spoon onto a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
