Pillsbury Cookie Bake Off
1 1/2 cups sifted flour, all purpose
1 tea. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tea. salt
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 teas. vanilla
Sift together the dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar together and then blend in egg and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients gradually; mix well.
Place half of the dough in a second bowl and add:
2 tablespoons cocoa and
1/2 teas. cinnamon
Chill for easier handling
Roll out the light and dark dough separately on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with a doughnut cutter. Place dark "holes" in light circles and light "holes" in dark circles. Cut each in half. then arrange on ungreased baking sheet, forming a round cookie shape using opposite colored halves. Bake at 375 for 7 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen
