Egg Nog Cookies
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2 c. sugar
1 c. egg nog
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
5 1/2 c. sifted flour (about)
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg nog, nutmeg and soda; mix well.
Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Chill.
Roll out thin on a lightly floured surface and cut with Christmas cutters. Brush with slightly
beaten egg white and decorate with candied fruits or colored sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned.
