Lily Cookies
4 1/2 ounces cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 cups sifted flour
Jelly or Orange Marmalade
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Cream cheese, butter and flour and form into a dough.
Roll out thin on lightly floured board and cut into 2 inch circles.
Bring two sides together to form a cornucopia or lily.
Fill open end with a little dab of jelly or marmalade.
Bake 15 minutes in 375 degree oven. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Yields 5 dozen.
I have used preserves instead of jelly, jelly tends to run too much. Also have mixed in finely chopped nuts with preserves.
