Sliced Cookies Butterscotch Nut

Butterscotch Nut Cookies

1 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
1 tsp each baking soda and powder
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Cream margarine and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture, then add nuts
and mix well. Chill until firm then FORM into five logs, about 8 to 10" long. Wrap logs in waxed paper. To bake, slice about one eighth " thick and bake in preheated 400 oven for about 8 min. Do not let cookies get too brown!
