Tart Cookies Pecan Tartlets

Pecan Tartlets

1 (3 oz) package Cream Cheese
1/4 pound butter (1 stick)
1 cup sifted flour
2/3 cup chopped pecans
1 egg
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon soft butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
small dash of salt


Mix cream cheese, butter and flour with pastry blender and chill if necessary to handle. Shape into 24 (1-inch) balls. Roll out the balls and shape into tiny teflon muffin pans.

Distribute part of the pecans in the bottoms of each little tart shell. Can also put one half pecan in the bottom.

Mix remaining ingredients well. Pour filling into tart shells on top of pecans. Top with the rest of the chopped pecans. Bake at 325-350 until filling is set and crust is brown, about 25-30 minutes. Cool in pans before removing.
