Basic dough recipe:
36 tarts 90 tarts
1/3 c butter or marg 1 1/3 cups butter or marg
3 oz pkg cream cheese 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup flour 2 2/3 cup flour
Soften butter and cream cheese. Mix well. Add flour, mix into soft dough. Chill an hour or overnight. Place walnut sized ball of dough into ungreased mini-muffin tins. Press each ball of dough to fit it in. I use a wooden tart
shaper, but fingers work great, too.
Pecan Tassie Filling (fills about 30)
1 tsp melted butter 1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 c chopped nuts
1 large egg
Mix all ingredients well. Fill dough-filled mini mufin pans 3/4 full. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, then 250 for 30 minute
until brown. Dust tops with powdered sugar when cooled.
