Maple Tarts
recipe from the Ontario Milk Marketing Board
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
12 med. tart shells, baked
Melt butter; blend in cornstarch, then syrup and milk. Bring to a boil; stir and cook until thick. Continue cooking 2 or 3 minutes more, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, and let cool 15 minutes. Spoon into baked shells. May be garnished with toasted almond slices. .... makes 12
