Granny's Shortbread
1 lb (salted) butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
4 cups flour
Beat butter; add sugar and cream until fluffy. Mix in flour, kneading until well mixed. Roll out about 3/8" thick. Cut into desired shapes, place on baking sheet, and bake at 275° for 15 to 20 minutes until edges just start to brown.
