Marinated Round Steak

Crockpot Marinated Round Steak

4 lbs. top round steak, cut into strips
1/3 cup olive oil
1-1/2 cups red wine
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. thyme
1 Tblsp. cracked black pepper
2 onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 slices bacon
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup flour


Marinate steak in red wine, olive oil, thyme, basil and black
pepper mixture overnight in the refrigerator.

Fry bacon. Turn heat down to medium-low and add in garlic and onions, sautéing until limp. Add in mushrooms, sauté until limp.

Place beef in slow cooker, reserving marinade. Pour flour over meat, mixing to coat. Add bacon, mushroom and onion mixture to slow cooker and pour marinade over all ingredients.

Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve over broad egg noodles. Makes 4-6 servings.
