Kalua Pork

1 Pork Roast
2 Tbs. Salt
1 Crushed clove of garlic or garlic powder
Small ginger root or powder
2 tbls. liquid smoke
hamburger buns


Combine salt, garlic, ginger and liquid smoke. Trim fat from roast and remove bone. Rub meat generously down in mixture. Save left over sauce. Wrap meat in aluminum foil. Cook in a crock pot, fill half way with water, on the sides of the roast. Cook all day, until meat will shred. Shred meat (as you would for a barbecue). Taste; if it does not seem to have enough flavor, add a little more sauce and mix well. Serve on hamburger buns.
