Butter Churned by Kids
Heavy Cream
Pour cream into a jar and shake for a very very long time. It will eventually become little lumps of butter. Drain liquid (save liquid for making cream-based soups)
Form butter into a lump. Under cold running water, knead butter gently for 5 minutes.
Note: Salt can be kneaded into butter, if desired.
