Chocolate Malted Ice Cream
Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00
2/3 cup sugar -- divided
1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 cups milk
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon flour
2 eggs -- lightly beaten
2/3 cup malted milk powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
Blend 1/3 cup sugar and cocoa with water.
Bring to boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
Add milk and heat til almost boiling.
Meanwhile blend remaining sugar and flour with malted milk powder.
Stir into hot milk.
Cook to boiling and let boil 1 minute.
Stir a little into eggs to temper and return to boiling.
Cook 1 minute; strain and cool.
Stir in whipping cream and vanilla.
Freeze according to directions.
