Heavenly Chocolate Ice Cream

12 (1 3/4 oz.) Milky Way bars, cut into pieces
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
about 3 qts milk
1 (5.5 oz) can chocolate syrup


Combine candy and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan; cook over low heat stirring constantly, until candy melts. Cool, stirring occasionally.

Add about 1 quart milk to candy mixture; beat until well blended. Pour mixture into freezer can of 1 gallon hand turned or electric freezer; stir in chocolate syrup. Add enough milk to fill freezer container to within 4 inches from the top. Freeze according to directions.
