Homemade Pistachio Ice Cream
1 egg (well beaten)
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup milk
2 cups whipping cream (unwhipped)
2/3 cup unsalted pistachios or slivered almonds (toasted)
1-2 drops green food coloring (optional)
Blend together by hand. Pour into ice cream maker. Makes 1 quart.
