Ice Cream in a Coffee Can
1- 1# coffee can with lid
1- 3# coffee can with lid
1 pint of half & half
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla, 2 Tbsp chocolate syrup, or 1/4 c of strawberries
Ice
Rock Salt
Add all of above ingredients except ice and rock salt to (1#) coffee can. Put lid on coffee can and secure with duct tape.
Place 1# coffee can into 3# coffee can.
Surround with crushed ice and rock salt and place lid onto 3# coffee can.
Roll cans back and forth 8 to 10 minutes.
Check to see if ice cream is hard; if it isn't replace lid, add more ice and rock salt and roll for another 8 minutes.
Serves 4 people.
