Glenda's Orange Sherbet
Prep time: varies
Yield: 8 servings
1 can condensed milk (not evaporated)
60 oz. carbonated orange (or grape) drink.
Combine ingredients. Pour into ice-cream freezer and freeze according to freezer directions.
Orange Sherbert
12 oz can orange juice concentrate
1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
1 cup non-fat powdered milk
3 1/2 cups water (2 cans full)
Blend ingredients thoroughly in a blender then pour into a baking dish. Place in freezer. Stir thoroughly every hour for 6 to 7 hours.

Orange Sherbert
1 1/3 c. orange juice
1 T. lemon juice (or a bit more)
3/4 c sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 c. water
orange and lemon rind finely grated
1/2 c. cream (15%)
Simmer sugar and water for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl beat egg white until foamy. Set aside.
Add rinds to sugar sugar mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
In a large bowl mix juices. Add rind mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites along with cream. Freeze as per your ice cream machines directions.
