Philadelphia Vanilla Ice Cream

1 quart half-and-half
1 tablespoon vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt


Mix all ingredients thoroughly then freeze in ice cream freezer or ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions or the general directions for making frozen desserts. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.
