Chocolate Sherry Log
1 packet chocolate ripple biscuits -- not chocolate coated
2 cups milk
Sweet Sherry (*)
Whipped, sweetened cream
Grated dark chocolate
Pour the milk and sherry into a shallow bowl. (Use as much sherry as you like.) Soak each biscuit in this mixture to the slow count of 30. Put the biscuits on edge, on a thin layer of whipped cream, with whipped cream between each one (sticking them together and holding them upright). Cover the resulting log with the remainder of the cream. Sprinkle with grated chocolate and decorate with cherries. Refrigerate before serving.
Cut the log diagonally -- this gives a nice striped pattern.
