Cherry Chocolate Clafouti

Chocolate Cherry Clafouti

2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
3 C. pitted sweet cherries (fresh, frozen or canned/drained)
1/2 C. chocolate chips
4 eggs
1 C. milk
3/4 C. unbleached white flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Confectioners sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly butter a 10" pie pan with 1 Tbs. of butter. Arrange cherries and chocolate chips in bottom of prepared pan.

In blender, combine remaining butter and ingredients (except confectioners sugar). Whirl until smooth. Pour batter over cherries and bake for 55-65 minutes, until clafouti is puffed and golden and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for at least 15 minutes before dusting of confectioners sugar and serving.
