Grasshopper Dessert

2 (3 oz) or 1 (6 oz) package lime Jello
1 1/2 c cold water
1/4 c sugar
2 c boiling water
2 tbsp creme de menthe liqueur
1 envelope Dream Whip


In boiling water, dissolve the jello and the sugar. Add the liqueur and the cold water. Pour 1 c of mixture into a bowl and chill, just till slightly thickened. Pour remaining mixture into a 9 inch square pan.

Chill at least 3 hours, until firm. Cut into squares, 1/2 inch each.

Prepare Dream Whip as package directs. Blend into the 1 c of slightly thickened jello. Pour mixture into a 3 c bowl. Chill until firm, about 3 hours.

Unmold the creamy gelatin mixture into the center of a shallow serving bowl. Arrange the cubes around the molded mixture. If desired, garnish with chocolate curls. Makes about 5 cups, or 8 to 10 servings.
