Tpoaz Parfait

1 c strong coffee
1 (3 oz) package lemon jello
1/3 c sugar
1/2 c cold water*
1/4 c brandy or dark rum*
1 envelope Dream Whip
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp brandy or dark rum **


Bring coffee to a boil. Add the gelatin and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Add the 1/4 c brandy and the cold water to the mixture.

Pour into an 8 inch square pan. Chill about 4 hours, until firm. Cut into cubes. Prepare whipped topping according to package, but add the brown sugar and the 1 tbsp brandy or rum.

Layer the coffee mixture cubes and the topping in parfait glasses or sherbert glasses. Makes 4 servings.

*Use measurements above, or increase cold water to 3/4 c and add 1 tsp of brandy extract

** Use measurements above or use 1/2 tsp brandy extract
