Apple Crisp
4 cups sliced pared tart apples (you can use a 1 lb. 2oz. can of pie sliced apples,drained
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
dash salt
1/2 cup butter, cut into eight pieces
Mound apples in greased 9" pie plate and sprinkle with orange juice. Combine remaining ingredients and cut in
flour until mixture is crumbly.
Pour topping over apples and bake in preheated 375 oven for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.
