Apple Crisp

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Peel and slice apples to fill a buttered 9x13 pan. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples, then brown sugar, then 1/2 cup of white sugar.

Mix the flour, salt and remaining white sugar. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over top.
Bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

(If apples are not tart, sprinkle lemon juice over them before other ingredients.)
