Crisp: Walnut Peach Crunch

Walnut Peach Crunch

1 can (1 lb,13oz) can sliced peaches
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup crushed corn flakes
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Drain syrup from peaches. Place peaches in a shallow 6 cup baking dish. Add almond extract to peaches (Save syrup to sweeten a fruit beverage or for liquid in Jell-O).

Mix crushed corn flakes with brown sugar, cinnamon and cardamom a small bowl, sprinkle over peaches. Top with nuts. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 F. 25 minutes or until bubbly
