Banana Split Dessert

Crust:
2 Cups flour
1 Cup margarine
1 TBS. powdered sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Filling:
3 sticks butter
2 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large container Cool Whip®, divided
1 (15 oz) can pineapple chunks, drain and reserve liquid
4 bananas
1 can cherry pie filling
Hershey’s® chocolate syrup or fudge sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans


Mix crust ingredients until crumbly, pat into 10x14 pan, bake 20 min at 350. Let cool.

Beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy; beat in vanilla. Fold in 2 to 3 cups Cool Whip and spread over cooled crust.

Cut pineapple chunks in half and set aside. Slice bananas and dip in reserved pineapple juice to prevent browning. Lay banana slices on top of filling, and scatter pineapple overall. Then, spread the remaining Cool Whip overall.

Next, dollop cherry pie filling overall. Then, drizzle either Hershey's chocolate syrup, or fudge sauce over the top, and lastly, sprinkle with chopped pecans.
