Angel Wings

6 egg yolks
2 tablespoons sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 jigger of whisky
2 cups flour - more if dough is too soft
cooking oil for deep frying.


Mix all ingredients together. Roll dough very thinly. Cut into strips about 2 1/2" wide.
Cut these into 3" pieces. Cut a small slit in the centre and turn inside out.

Fry in deep fat. Dough will bubble a bit. Turn over and cook for 1 minute longer on the other side. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.


Angel wings - Baked

3 cups flour
1/2 lb. oleo
1, 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1 egg.


Blend oleo and cream cheese into flour as for pie dough. Beat eggs until fluffy and add to the flour mixture. Work mixture smooth with hands. Cover and refrigerate over night.

Roll out a little at a time, very thinly, on an old tablecloth with very little flour. Place thin dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Cut into 1 1/2" x 4" strips. Angel wings shrink slightly while baking. Do not need space between cookies.

Bake at 375*F until light brown. One batch makes about 100.


Angel Wings

1 can fruit cocktail
1 or 2 sliced bananas
1, 12 oz. container Cool Whip
Angel Food Cake


Mix fruit cocktail with sliced bananas and Cool Whip. slice angel Food cake and place 2 slices on plate with fruit mixture in the middle, so as to resemble angel wings.


Angel wings

1 can Eagle brand condensed milk
grated coconut - as much as needed
8 slices French bread


Dip bread into milk, then cover with coconut. Grill over barbecue until brown
