Crow Nest Pudding

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
butter the size of a walnut, melted


Preheat to 350.

Sift the dry ingredients together. Stir in the egg, milk and butter. Mix well. Bake in an 8 inch square pan at 350 for 30 minutes.


Filling:
2 tbsp. butter
4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 pint milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla


Combine flour and sugar. Heat milk to boiling, then stir in the flour mixture. Heat to boiling again, stirring well. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Break the cake into pieces and pour filling over it to serve.
