Lemon Layered Dessert
1 c. flour
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Cool Whip, thawed
2 - 3 oz. pkgs. instant lemon pudding
3 c. milk
Additional Cool Whip
Additional finely chopped walnuts
1st layer: Blend flour, melted margarine and chopped nuts. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly.
2nd layer: Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 c. Cool Whip. Spread over cooled first layer.
3rd layer: Combine pudding and milk; mix well. Spread over cream cheese layer.
4th layer: Spread thawed Cool Whip over all; sprinkle with additional chopped nuts. Chill thoroughly before serving.
FOR VARIATIONS other flavors of pudding may be used.
