Caramel Crunch Ice Cream Sauce
1/4 cup Margarine
1/3 cup chopped or sliced Almonds
1/3 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/3 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbs. Water
1/3 cup Crisp Rice Cereal, coarsely crushed
Melt the margarine in a medium skillet over moderate heat. Add the almonds to the sizzling margarine and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until brown. Add the corn syrup, sugar, and water. Heat thoroughly, until mixture is bubbly and sugar is dissolved.
Stir in the rice cereal and serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
