Bavarian Apple Tart

Crust:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
tsp. Vanilla
1 cup flour

Filling:
8 oz. Cream cheese softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Topping:
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
4 large Granny Smith Apples, peeled and sliced thin


For crust, Cream butter, vanilla and sugar. Blend in flour. Press down dough onto the bottom and 1 1/2 inches up the side of a greased 9" spring form pan.

For filling, combine softened cream cheese and sugar. Mix well and add egg and vanilla and pour onto crust.

For topping, combine sugar and cinnamon and put into a ziplock bag. Shake to mix. Add apple slices and shake bag, coating the slices. Arrange slices in a in a circular pattern.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 400 and bake fot 25 minutes. Cool before removing from pan.

Serve with vanilla ice cream
