Honey Fruit

1 orange
1 cup white wine
1/2 cup honey
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups strawberries, tops trimmed, and halved
2 cups melon chunks
1 cup black or red seedless grape halves
3 sprigs mint


With a zester or peeler remove the zest from half of the orange. In a small saucepan, combine the wine, honey, orange zest, juice of the orange, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute.

In a bowl, combine the fresh fruit and mint and pour the flavored wine over the fruit. Let cool and marinate for 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator. Serve by itself or as a compliment to ice cream or pound cake.
