Tomato Salsa
2 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped 
1/2 c. finely chopped onion 
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper 
1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced or green chilies 
1/2 tsp. cilantro (Chinese parsley) 
1 Tbsp. sugar 
1 tsp. salt 
2 Tbsp. oil 
8 oz. can tomato sauce 
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 
1 Tbsp. lemon or lime juice 
2 Tbsp. vinegar 
In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover; chill several hours. Makes 3 cups. This zesty sauce is good on just about everything from dipping tortilla chips to spooning over omelets, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.
