Homemade Kahlua
1 qt. water
2 1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. instant coffee
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cup vodka
Bring water, sugar and coffee to boil in a sauce pan. Simmer very slowly for 3 hours. Mixture will be very dark and syrupy. Cool. Add vanilla and vodka.
Makes 7 cups.
