Peach Julep
Source: Marie Claire - Dining
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups mints leaves
1 1/2 cups fresh peach juice
1/2 - 3/4 cup bourbon or brandy
Club soda
Place water and sugar in a saucepan over low heat and stir until sugar has dissolved.
Add mint leaves to pan and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove pan from heat and allow stand for 30 minutes, then strain syrup.
Add sugar syrup to chilled peach juice and bourbon, and mix to combine.
Chill and serve over crushed ice and top with soda.
Serves 6.
