Plum Cordial
1 lb. fresh plums, whole or cut up
3 cloves
1/4" long piece of cinnamon stick or 1/8 tsp powdered cinnamon
1 cup sugar
2 cups vodka
Place all ingredients in a sterilized jar, making sure that the vodka completely covers the plums. (If using whole
plums, use a large needle to pierce the skins to the pit, in order to fully release the flavor.)
Steep for 3 months,shaking occasionally, then strain into a decanter. afterwards, the fruit can be enjoyed as a dessert. Makes about 3 cups.
