Punch for Big Affairs

4 cups sugar
2 cups water
2 cup strong black tea
juice of 10 lemons (about 2 cups)
juice of 10 oranges (about 2 1/2 cups)
5 cups (2 #2 cans) pineapple juice
12 ounces maraschino cherries with juice (optional)
3 gallons water
2 qt. ginger ale

Make a syrup by boiling together the sugar and water for 10 minutes. Add the tea, and fruit juices and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Add the water and pour over block of ice in punch bowl or over ice cubes. Add the ginger ale just before serving and stir gently.

Easy Fruit Punch

Equal parts of canned pineapple juice and Hawaiian Punch and add 7-Up or any lemon-lime soda.
We just keep all the ingredients in the refrigerator and when the punch bowl starts getting low, just open the cans and combine. Nice to make an ice ring from any fruit juice ahead of time to float in the bowl.
