Barbecued Baby Octopus

Grated rind and juice one lemon
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
8 teasp. chopped basil
3 cloves finely chopped garlic
60 ml (2 fl oz) dry white wine
Dried chilli (to taste)
1 kg (2lb) baby octopus, cleaned- with heads and beaks removed

Combine lemon rind and juice, olive oil, basil, garlic, wine and dried chilli to taste in a small jar. Shake well. Pour over cleaned and prepared octopus (in a shallow dish). Stir to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for min. 6 hrs. or overnight.

Drain and barbecue / char-grill over high 2-3 mins. or until cooked.
