Sesame Seared Salmon
Recipe By : Houston Chronicle-5/30/98

1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon olive oil
3/4 pound salmon fillets
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger or 1/4 tsp. ground
ginger


Place sesame seeds in a nonstick skillet and saute until golden, about 30 seconds. Remove to a plate and set aside. Heat olive oile in the same skillet on med-high. Add salmon and saure 5 min.

Meanwhile, mix honey, soy sauce, and ginger together. Turn salmon; saute 3 min. for a 1" thick piece. Remove skillet from heat, spoon sauce over salmon and allow to warm in skillet 30 seconds. Remove to individual dishes and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Serve with Sauteed Sliced Potatoes With Asparagus and red, fruity pinot noir.
