Cajun Pasta with Shrimp

This is basically Alfredo sauce with a few twists. You can use a package of Knorr's alfredo sauce mix if you like.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup parmesan cheese -- grated
4 tablespoons tomato sauce
salt and pepper -- to taste
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper -- or to taste
1/2 pound fresh shrimp -- peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons fresh parsley -- chopped
8 ounces penne -- uncooked


Combine butter and cream in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until butter melts. Stir in cheese, pepper, tomato sauce, cayenne, and parsley.

Saute shrimp in small amount of olive oil until done. Add to above. Pour mixture over hot penne; toss until coated.
