Shrimp Rounds

1/2 cup French dressing
1 tablespoon lemon juice
24 medium-sized shrimp -- cooked and cleaned
1/4 cup soft butter
2 tablespoons horseradish
1 hard-cooked egg -- finely chopped
Rye rounds
Parsley -- for garnish


Combine the French dressing and lemon juice. Add the shrimp. Mix and cover bowl tightly; chill for 1 hour.

Thoroughly beat soft butter with horseradish and chopped hard-cooked egg. Spread mixture on rye rounds or toast. Top each with a marinated shrimp. Garnish with minced parsley. Arrange on waxed paper-lined trays. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve.

Yields: 24 canapes
