Shrimp and Broccoli Bisque

1 (10-oz.) package frozen chopped broccoli
3 Tbl. butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 Tbl. flour
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. crumbled thyme
1 (6-oz.) package frozen Alaskan tiny shrimp


Cook broccoli according to package directions. In large skillet or saucepan, melt butter or margarine. Add chopped onion and saute until soft. Stir in flour; gradually blend in milk and half and half. Cook, stirring until thickened and smooth. Add bouillon cubes, pepper, thyme, cooked broccoli, and frozen shrimp. Simmer until bouillon cubes dissolve, shrimp defrosts, and all is heated through. Good with crusty bread.
