Apple Pie

2 crusts
apples (enough for whatever size pie you want to make)
red hot cinnamon candies
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
pat butter


Have crusts ready. Pare apples. Mix apples with a cup sugar. Mix flour and butter, sprinkle with a handful of redhots over the top of the apples. Put the top crust on. Sprinkle a little sugar on the top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.




Blush Apple Pie

5 apples
3 slices pineapple
1/4 c. red hots
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. shortening


Slice apples; add red hots and chopped pineapple. In small bowl mix sugar, flour and salt. Add shortening. Put into apple mixture. Mix well. Let stand while making crust. Pour into bottom crust. Cover with top crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
