Mom's Apple Crisp
from Pampered Chef
4 - 6 large Granny Smith apples
8 graham cracker squares (2 1/2 inches each)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup butter melted
Peel, core and slice apples. Prepare enough apples to fill dish 3/4 full. Finely chop graham crackers. Combine crumbs, sugar, oats, flour and spices. Add butter, mix will. Spoon nixture over apple slices.
Microwave on HIGH 12 - 15 minutes or until apples are tender, turning dish after 6 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
makes 8 servings
Conventional oven- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Assemble Apple Crisp as directed. Bake 30 - 35 minutes or until apples are tender.
Approx. 265 calories and 13 gms fat per serving.
