Pork with Apples and Toasted Walnuts

Preparation time: 15 mins
Cooking time: 15 mins

4 (about 1-inch thick) pork loin chops
1 pinch to taste salt and ground black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 jar 10 ounces CROSSE & BLACKWELL Ham Glaze
1/3 cup apple juice
3/4 teaspoon (or 1/4 tsp dried) chopped fresh thyme, crushed, whether using fresh or dried
1 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 green apples, cored and sliced
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted


Season pork with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork; cook quickly on both sides until browned. Remove from skillet.

Add ham glaze, apple juice, thyme and garlic to skillet; stir well. Stir in apples; cook for 2 minutes. Return pork to skillet; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook for 5 to 6 minutes until pork tests done. Sprinkle with almonds before serving.
